Setting Apart and Home MTC - July 13, 2025

Getting set apart was amazing.  I had such a great blessing given to me.  Honestly was the craziest feeling putting on the badge after thinking about it for 18 years.  Now besides what it looked like in pictures and leading up to being set apart.  I was so happy and excited to be there and have the opportunity.

Being set apart as a full-time missionary by President Willes of the South Mountain Stake on July 13, 2025

Elder Wilde with parents

I started out the first day of being set apart as a missionary really fast.  Very fast.  Too fast.  Got a speeding ticket driving home from Powell in Hatch, Utah.  Minimum like 10 buildings in sight.  Cop was a nice guy tho.  But I started out calling my mom so it would go down easier.  About an hour later, I saw a call from my dad come through on the Car Play and my heart literally sunk.  I almost had to pull over I was so nervous.  Don't worry, he was very understanding.  Title of favorite child still remains.

Now, home MTC.  I was scared this was about to be the worst most boring thing ever.  Turned out to be great.  Loved home MTC. The lunches in the home MTC were unbelievable.  Shout out Queen Wilde.  Schedule consisted of about 7-8 hours of Zoom classes which does sound like a lot, but it wasn't too bad.  I will say being able to go to the golf course every day and hang out with friends may have played a big role in my enjoyment.     Elder Wilde
