Week 50 - June 30, 2026

 Today, Next Year

Highlights
🌊: Tasha, Richie, and Tyler got baptized this Sunday and it was amazing. We got out of the baptismal font and Tasha said she had never felt so good in her life. Their faith and love for our Savior is amazing.
💨: Our boy Nathaneal was going to get baptized, but we showed up on Saturday for his interview and smelled like weed, so we had to postpone that. He is super motivated to be baptized and is so excited to be baptized.
🎥: Told some members about La La Land and they went and watched it and obsessed with it now.
🗣: Our daily routine consists of me singing a song out loud and then asking Craft if he knows it or saying a movie quote and asking him if he has seen it. Note. He never never knows. We are really trying to work on his movie and music game out here.
🇭🇳: We have this one older lady from Honduras in the Spanish branch and she is just the sweetest and funniest person. Going into her house and speaking in Spanish and spending time with her just filled my heart. Sister Alonso is incredible and she loves the missionaries.
🍪: Brother Smith gave us some coconut type cookies like those Girl Scout ones. Queen Wilde already knows what happens with those. He ended up giving us the entire basket.
🥳: I'm driving down to Coban again right now and I think I'll be able to stop by some recent converts from there, so I'm super excited.
Spiritual Thought
Well, one year from today I'll be getting on a plane to go back home, which feels really really crazy.

As excited as I am to see my family and friends, I have really come to a point that I thought missionaries would say to just say. Thinking about leaving the mission makes me so sad. I truly love the mission and love being here with my whole heart.

“Remember: The heavens will not be filled with those who never made mistakes but with those who recognized that they were off course and who corrected their ways to get back in the light of gospel truth.”

Have amazing weeks.

Spiritual Thought

Father's day!!!! Had to give a Father Day's thought to the one and only JWWWWWW. The goat.
There is a good a talk that the Wilde Fam would always reverence called, "Let us be Men," by D Todd Christofferson. It talks about the sacrifices that his father made for his mom and in turn for his family. I have always loved this talk and the immense form of love it shows. The form of sacrifice is also showed in the scriptures in about every form but none more important than that done by our Savior and given by our Heavenly Father.

16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

I have seen as on my time that sacrifice is essential and in the end brings us a blessing so much greater. There is no sacrifice without a larger blessing

I could not possibly know to what extent my dad has sacrificed for me and for the things he has done for me and all of his kids. I am sure that many of his sacrifices, much like the ones made by Christofferson, may be “unseen.” I don't think I could express the gratitude I have for what I've been given and the example I have been shown. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and a loving earthly father, and I hope I can be a little like them at the end of my life. I know God loves each and every one of you, and I can promise that without a single doubt.

Yes maaaaaaaawn 🇧🇿
