Highlights
🇺🇸: 4th of July had me dying out here. I can't lie. The first time on my mission I've missed home a lot.
🚌: The zone was running a little late to make it back to the hotel, so we were praying to find a way home. Then this party golf cart/bus passed by and asked us if we wanted a free ride to wherever we needed. Then he turned on the lights and speakers and started playing the most fire songs. It was unreal. I miss being in the car and music.
🙏: We showed a member an AI video of Trump explaining the Book of Mormon and she was going crazy for it.
🎄: Elder Craft always has the most interesting compliments to people, and I just die sitting there listening. He also has a blind date as temple sealings. Starting off quick.
🇬🇹: We are in Guatemala again right now which is great but also kinda sucks cause we aren't in our area. The passport is filling up quickly cause we get eight stamps a month from traveling in and out. Making me look international.
👬: We got lots of friends that are making lots of sacrifices to be baptized and go to church, and things are really picking up so we are super hyped to see all the progress.
⛳️: I saw a full set of golf clubs in a store window. That one hurt. I miss golfing a lot.
Spiritual Thought
A couple of days ago I heard a message that I really loved and also wanted to share. Shout out my guy Noah. The scripture is in Mosiah 26:3 and says,
3 And now because of their unbelief they could not understand the word of God; and their hearts were hardened.
His thoughts really put me to think about this. It wasn't because they didn't understand that they didn't believe rather that because they DIDNT believe they COULDNT understand.
You don't gain a testimony from understanding or knowing. You gain it from believing. The greatest moments of my mission have not come in the moments I was searching for them, but when I didn't “care” what happened and just did my part and left it up to God. It truly is a hard point to get to but is the most rewarding. God works backwards and gives to those as they turn to him “losing themselves,”
