Una semana más en la tierra prometida.
Highlights:
70: At our Multi-zone, we had one of the Area Presidencia come, Elder Olsen, and he gave a super super good lesson to all of us on our missionary work.
🌊: We baptized our neighbors, Darlyng and Bryan. Studs. More later
⅓ : We completed a third of the mission now which is just insane. It feels like I left yesterday. and I love it here so much.
⛈️: We were getting hit by a big storm literally an hour and half before the baptism and then 20 minutes before, cleared up. God is good.
🇺🇸: I was singing Courtesy of the red, white and blue in the street and asked Elder Hill if he knew it. When he said no it was a mix of disappointment and sadness that he had never experienced this. So grateful I only miss one 4th of July.
🃏: The combination of Uno and Skull King with the zone on the way to the multi-zone was so fun. Explaining Skull King in Spanish was a lethal one, but we got there.
Micheal Scott Promise: Elder Olson (Centro América President) gave the mission a promise that any person we put on baptismal date after one was going to get baptized. Stay tuned next week…
🍔: Had an unbelievable hamburger this week, so that was nice.
Spiritual Thought - Tiempo Del Señor
This baptism once again showed me more amazing principles. We met with this family on the first day of the transfer for the first time and they seemed so lit. They even pulled up to church the very first week. Each week we have a missionary meeting with all of the leaders in the ward, and I was hyped to tell them about all our people we already had progressing. To my surprise, the members started getting a little frustrated and annoyed with me as I told them. They told me I was wasting time and this family was never going to progress or want anything.
I'm so glad we wasted everyone's time and had the opportunity to see them enter the waters of baptism two and a half weeks later. But more than anything, for what it taught me.
God truly does prepare his children and his elect. Seeing the pure joy on the families' face during their baptism was something incredible. Their house is basically our second home. Hearing their desires of entering the temple as a family is incredible. Seeing the joy that came as they progressed was truly amazing. You just had to take the time to get to know them without listening to what everyone else was saying. It is always on the time of the Lord, and all are welcome to go to him.
D&C 33
6 And even so will I gather mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, even as many as will believe in me, and hearken unto my voice.
7 Yea, verily, verily, I say unto you, that the field is white already to harvest; wherefore, thrust in your sickles, and reap with all your might, mind, and strength.
I love you all and hope you have amazing weeks.
