Lets Go To The Beach Beach Lets Go Get Away
Quick recap. I hit 11 months and will now be in Belize City Belize on the beach.
Highlights
π§πΏ: Wellll I guess I got back-to-back of the missionaries' dreams here. The Coban 2 temple area and now I will be going to Belize City. To start, the house has queen beds, brand new ac, a gym, and then you walk outside and you're right next to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. I'll slide a picture here for reference. The sad thing is that I will be teaching in the ENGLISH language now. But at least the other ward we have is in Spanish so I'll be able to practice still. So from the temple, the mountains, and the jungle to the beach and ocean. Feel free to come visit me guys.
π: President went out and did visits with us and we got to do a family home evening with him and the Soto family, and that was so so cool. Presi is such a dawg.
πΊπΈ: The US might just win the World Cup. I've told everyone here that. But what a performance (I've heard…).
π₯³: I had the opportunity to give a talk in church this Sunday. I can't lie though, being a missionary and giving a talk makes it so much easier. Basically, just hit a spiritual thought and making it a little longer. Calm little repentance talk.
π: This week I found four ties in a paca (thrift store) that I'm hyped to use, so I guess that's good.
π¦: This is my last week with Elder Morby, and I'm honestly super sad. The family genetics had to hit me with the emotional side, so we hoping I don't shed a tear leaving my boy. It has been truly some of the best time of my life here with Morberto, and we have seen so many miracles. I'll forever be grateful for our time here.
Spiritual Thought
This week in our family home evening with Presi, we had a super amazing chat about the story of King David. As we were reading, it reminded me of the story of the rich boy that asked Jesus what more he needed.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
,
King David wasn't the strongest, he wasn't the tallest, and he wasn't the smartest out of all of his brothers. But God picked him out of all his brothers to be king of Israel. I imagine both of these kids, David and the rich boy, were thinking very similar things. Maybe David was nervous about what his brothers and city were going to say about him being made king instead of them. Maybe the rich boy was worried about what his friends were going to say to him about having nothing. Both of them were most likely not very prepared for God's request.
However, God doesn't look at the physical rather he looks towards the heart. His plan is always perfect. He knows us perfectly and loves us unconditionally. He looks at our hearts to magnify our outward efforts. When we try our best to turn our heart to him, he will always magnify the blessings seen in the outcome.
I hope you all have great weeks. I'll just be learning Creole out here. God du da Wanda Wanda ting
